THE CENTRAL COAST LEGACY
Amuyich. The Chumash word used to describe a spirit of generosity has also defined the Central Coast’s bountiful landscape and cultural contributions for thousands of years, since Native American hand-carved tomols sliced through the briny waters of the Santa Barbara Channel. If the Santa Ynez Mountains could talk, they would echo intimate tales of artists and innovators inspired by salmon-hued sunsets and gentle seasons.
Today, our community is still undeniably linked to our natural environs, each one informing the other in a delicate dance. These are American Riviera stories — experiences that reflect a deep sense of place while honoring far-reaching perspectives. Through a compelling quarterly magazine and curated events at our downtown headquarters ARM Studio, we aim to elevate the stories, culture, and legacy of our diverse Central Coast community and its connection to the global narrative. |
