The Intimate Dialogue of DanceIn 1920s Paris, just off the Luxembourg Gardens on a quiet street named Rue de Fleurus, writers Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas began hosting a series of avant-garde salons, where art and performance flowed over inky wine and sensational conversation.
A century later, we pay homage to the revered tradition of arts conversation with a dance salon highlighting contemporary choreographers in an intimate setting. Our Friday, October 13 dance salon will feature the works and process of Natalie Oleinik (France), Chloe Roberts (New York), and Brandon Whited (Santa Barbara) who will stage live excerpts of their upcoming dance works on a 20 x 20 performance space, followed by a lively post-performance discussion. Refreshments will be included. |
